Our Neon signs are made with an electroeluminescent wire (EL wire) it is not a traditional neon sign. EL wire has a subtle glow compared to standard neon making it perfect for interior decoration, it has the ability to give you a fabulous neon effect without being overwhelming.
We use a vinyl backing for the wire to sit on it sharpens the look of the sign and emphasises the colours of the neon.
The wire (2.3mm) is used as an electrical embroidery thread which is weaved in and out of acrylic to mimic your chosen font. Think of it as an electrical glow stick, the wire creates its glow in the same way; a chemical reaction.
To block out the light from the back of the acrylic we have two options a black blocking tubing or a white blocking tubing. Please make your choice in the options. This is more obvious on the clear acrylic.
All of our signs will come with an inverter and a UK plug. The inverter's are needed to power the wire and do hum slightly, this is normal and completely safe. All of our wire and inverters are bought from a UK supplier and are regulated by UK safety standards. Our standard inverters do not have a flashing option.
The EL wire is UV sensitive and colours will fade if its kept in direct sunlight. The wire itself will glow between 1000 and 4000 hours.

Made to Order and custom signs are NON REFUNDABLE.
Please triple check your spelling on all orders as I make you pieces based exactly on what you input, I cannot be held responsible for any spelling mistakes.
Please treat your neon sign the same as you would any electrical item.
The neon wire is UV sensitive so we recommend keeping them out of direct sunlight as this can fade the colour.
Electroeluminescent wire has a lifespan between 1000 and 4000 hours. Just like a lightbulb.
Please take great care when handling your sign, dust it with a dry or damp cloth when necessary but please keep away fom the wire on the back of the sign. As you could damage the supporting ties and the wire could lose its shape.
